I'm looking for my biological father. His name is possibly Gary Mills from Morgantown or Fairmont WV. He would have known my mother Annetta in 1968 and I was born in 1969. I have an older half brother named Duane. He would have been 2 at the time I was born. My birthday is 9/30/69. I'm 47 now. I never knew that my brother and I had different dad's until I was in my 30's. My mother was living in laurel point on rt19 at that time just outside of Morgantown WV. Her maiden name is Lambert. She will not give me much information to go on. I think my father knew of me but I'm not positive. She could have been married at the time. Married name Starkey. She divorced and married name was Ferguson. Ferguson adopted both me and my brother. He's a great father. My family doesn't know I'm searching. I get the impression that my biological father and my mother had a short fling resulting in ME. maybe even a 1 night stand. I'd love to know if I have siblings and the health issues on his side. I have health issues and so do my 2 grown daughters that don't run on my mother's side. Any help would be appreciated. My mother was 20 when she had me.

@Marjorielouise,
Because your mother is not forthcoming, I suggest you talk to her siblings if she has any, even inlaws if they were in the picture in 1968.

You can possibly try Ancestry.com (you may have to pay for good access) or the like, including sites like Classmates and FamilyLink. Look for the Mormon information as before the internet they used to keep records on all sorts of people in the US, including non-Mormons. I would also dig through Facebook as nearly everyone alive in the US is on it these days.

You can also check around at her high school or church if she was active then. I realize she would have graduated by then but that doesn't mean your bio father wasn't a classmate.

Consider police records, prisons, and death notices as well. There are privacy concerns with a lot of these so they might be a dead end. But think outside the box as any of these is possible.

Another option is a skip tracer or a private investigator; those people are most easily found via a lawyer. Be prepared to pay for this.

And also resign yourself to the fact that it might never happen.
