Kompassionate Kristian Konservative Kartoonist Johnny Hart

Throughout the nation, many people are familiar with the work of cartoonist Johnny Hart, creator of "B.C." and co-writer of "The Wizard of Id" comic strips, which are nationally syndicated and appear in most of the newspapers owned by the Gannett Co., Inc.( headquartered in McLean, Virginia- just like another well-known Agency-how co-incidental!).

Hart has always had a distinctly "Christian" focus for his strips, and is noted for his "religious" stance, often echoing the stances of Falwell and Robertson. His strips that appear around Christmas and Easter Holidays are always a bit preachy... which guarantee his continued employment by the Syndicate.

Today's "Wizard of Id" strip was VERY political, taking a stab at "Socialized Medicine"... and can be viewed as an overt reflection of the current regime's stance toward SSI and Medicare.
They apparently find the contemporary reliance toward such programs somewhat anathematous, and President bush himself has announced plans to "reform" SSI.

Their "Faith-based initiatives" seem to focus upon leaving vast segments of the populace stranded and out in the cold...
"No Child left behind" is just doublespeak for "draw assets away from Public Education so as to be re-allocated to <<Christian>> Schools".
(I doubt that many NON-Christian educational institutions will benefit from their "initiatives".)

Why is it that so much meanness arises from McLean, Virginia?
The sanctimonious meddling and machinations must have an underlying ideological imperative...
Is it because the Agency is so inclined to employ non-smoking, non-drinking Fundies and Mormons?

America, we ARE in a cultural war... TWO of them, in fact.
The "religious" zealots of Islam AND "Christianity" have taken aim at our liberties and intend to DOMINATE all who think differently from them.

The results of the recent election cycle demonstrate how their "strategeries" are succeeding... I venture that the assaults will continue until all submit to THEIR "vision" of what they want our society to be.

What's truly terrifying is how SO many of them fervently "believe" that it is NECESSARY to foment War... and facilitate "The Second Coming" of "The Messiah".

The "faithful" will settle for nothing less than "Armageddon"... which is THEIR "Final Solution".

By inciting and fomenting such conflict, they believe that they are implementing "The Word Of God".

Be aware, and thusly, be afraid...
if these ideologues are not halted, they will drag the globe back into the Dark Ages.

I shudder to think how "Turn the other cheek" has been so perverted by these hate-filled zealots who masquerade as "Christians"...

imagine what it would be like to return to a Biblically-based society- there are NO "Democratic Republics' in the Bible, just Theocratic Monarchy.
Imagine life under a "Divinely endowed" MONARCHY... where citizens are penalized and fined for such transgressions as non-attendance of church services.

I have ancestors who were "religious dissenters"; they were heavily fined and publicly whipped for exercising independence and "heterodoxy" in matters of "personal conscience"...
it certainly appears as if history will repeat itself...
