@Region Philbis,
Didn't Larry Bird and Michael Jordan and all of the other greats practice long before and after even their own teammates did?

1. Start and Finish on Balance
2. Finish with shooting hand fingers dipped “in the rim”
3. Focus on a Smaller Target
Hope this helps you.

The most important element in basketball is basketball success. The right throwing technique is therefore a basic requirement in order to be able to convey and carry out the sport successfully and with fun. The basics and technical basics are identical for almost all throws - whether standing or jumping. For a technically clean throwing technique, a number of things must be observed: ball acceptance, foot position, grip technique, hand position, elbow position, etc. If errors creep into only one of these aspects, the probability that the throw will fail is high. It is therefore important to pay attention to all the details from the very beginning and to keep working on the technology and, as a trainer or teacher, to point out mistakes.
