How to ask a question

Hello,
Imagine I heard something about somebody. We both know the that information. However I want to hear from the that person. What should be my sentence?
Is it ok to ask like this: I know this about you but I would like to hear from yourself?
Delivering this question is somewhat difficult for me as I feel it is somehow odd. If you could give a very polite sentence in lieu of mine it would be very nice of you. Please let me know your inputs.
Impatiently waiting!

How about:

"I have heard that you like pizza, but would you please confirm that?"

Hi, I hear you know a bit about , 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time', and I'd like to find our more about it from you if I may.

or

Word is you built several houses in this town, that you own a few boats, and that you knew one goat, what do you think about your ekename?

@Chakchak,
Ask her what he/she thinks about the relevant underlying topic at large without disclosing you have information on this person actions. That should make things clear as there is no direct correlation with what you already know.
