Hello all

I have a serious problem with idealism. My parents existed before i was born. nature existed before i was born and will continue when i die. this is a undeniable fact that clarify to me every time i look at my identification card and seeing my birth day and hearing story about history . i didn't create it.

If consciousness is primary and existence is secondary. and if consciousness precedes to existence. how did Emmanuel Kant answer to this problem? How could I say my own consciousnesses creates reality and nothing can exist independent of my mind? How can I explain natural history from big bang? How can I believe to exist of dinosaur and Darwinian evolutionary in a idealism way? Is there any primary of consciousness theory can explain natural history before existence of human race?

@alitanha,
You might be a Universe unto yourself, all your "knowledge" and "experience" and "beliefs" just a dream constructed by your own consciousness. You might be the one and only thing in existence, alone and dreaming forever. That was the premise of "The Mysterious Stranger" by Mark Twain.

Nothing can ever prove those types of conjectures wrong so they can't be ruled out. But I'm not sure they are of any value, other than to recognize that they exist within the realm of possibility (if not probability), as does everything else.
