I cannot think of a rap song, probably from the 90s, but perhaps from the 80s, that has a chorus composed of samples which includes some scratching. It was a hit song, but not a huge hit. I believe the main beat of the song is with a piano. It has a steady beat like counting numbers. I don’t remember too many lyrics clearly. Within the chorus, there’s a part like “here’s a…” but I know at the end of the chorus someone says “word up,” again from a sample. That part may be from Mos Def, but not sure. The song itself is not by Mos Def (a la Big Brother Beat) At the end of the song, the chorus is played twice. The end of the song the piano plays one two space one, like the end of the horns in EWF’s In the Stone. My guess is this is a solo artist, but I’m not sure.
I don’t remember anything else outside the chorus. I used to hear it regularly when I played Pandora several years ago, but haven’t come across it when I re-engaged.
@torridd,
I need more clues. Is it one rapper? A group of rappers? A duo of rappers? What other instruments do you hear? Are there background singers? Is anyone singing while the rapper is rapping? Are the rappers rapping at a fast pace, medium pace or slow pace? Is there a New York accent, Los Angeles accent, southern accent? Is there a heavy emphasis on drum machines? Does the song have heavy bass played throughout the song? Is it a party rap song? Is it a reality rap song? Do you hear females? Do you hear males? Have you seen the video for this song? If so, do you remember any details in the video?
@Real Music,
Unfortunately, I don't remember much else. I think the song starts with the chorus,"Here's, here's, here's a..." I don't know how many rappers there are. The melody is chiefly from a piano, but as I imagine it, it's more of a carousel/keyboard sound. I don't remember any drum machines, but believe me if I knew much else I'd get the song myself!

No females as I remember and I don't think it's a party song. Like I said, I don't think it was a huge hit. I don't think I saw a video.
I think the start of the song repeats itself like "this this this.." I know I cited it was "here's a..." before, but it could be "this" also
@torridd,
Finally found it! It's called Incredible by Krumb Snatcha featuring Gang Starr.
