Should I try to get my ex back?

So, i dumped my ex for a guy who I had been on and off with for the past 4 years. I stopped talking to this guy a year ago when he turned into a jerk, but he recently messaged me a month ago, apologized, said he messed up, and that he knows what he wants now. We then hung out, and he tried to kiss me and I rejected. He then tried to friend zone me after he tried to get me to send him a nude and I would not. He messaged me back and forth for a straight 1.5 hours to get the nude, and I still declined. He is still a huge jerk so we are not talking anymore because I think he was trying to use me and I would not let him (I think he is a player and he is super manipulative, during freshmen year he took me to his formal, bought me flowers, and a Christmas gift, we are now seniors). This guy from freshmen year randomly stopped replying to me last week and we have not talked since. The thing is, my ex is a super sweet guy and he was always there for me, unlike this jerk who just randomly stopped talking to me. Although, I am going to college this fall and am not sure if I will find anyone as sweet as him. Although, I only date virgins since I am super prude and am afraid of not finding any attractive, sweet, extraverted virgins in college. My ex is attractive, sweet, but quiet, which is why I think I did not like him as much as he liked me. I like extraverted guys. So, should I try to get my ex back or should I wait until college?
