I found this adapter when cleaning up my junk drawer. I have no idea what it is or where it came from.

My first thought was S-video to USB but it does not look S-video up close. Am I missing something? I am stumped and so aren't my kids (teenagers, one is an adult)! I thought they knew just 'bout everything when it came to electronics haha...guess not. Anybody?

I have no idea how to post a picture...I realized too late. I am going to try to figure it out, but for anyone who is interested...the adapter in question is round, like s-video, the same size, and has what appears to be a strangely shaped slot in the center, and either 2 "pins",(which I think aren't really pins), or something like pins on the sides within the round face, but recessed so I can just make out the tip. The "pins" look like they may be tension clips to hold it to whatever it plugs Into, PR into it, or whatever... at least in my opinion. YMMV...

Anywhoooo...

I have searched Google high and low, with every combination of phrases I can think of to describe it, even a few reverse image searches (yes...it is way more important to me than it really should be haha), and NOTHING is coming up even slightly similar, apart from the obvious S-video. Please help:( it is driving me frootloops!! 8)

I will get email notifications if there is a reply to this,, and I have an anonymous email I use for some matters, if anyone would prefer, I can send an image via email, until I figure out a different method. TIA. Feel free to contact me at [email protected] ... This is an old address I use for non-private matters only so I am not concerned about weirdos having it Wink TYIA...again

@cjh1221cjh,
You should learn how to post a pic on the internet. Open a free account at www.photobucket.com, upload a photo to your internet account on that website, then just copy the web address which appears after you finish uploading.

Then just come back here and post that photo's address between these two markers:

As for the plug, was it a DIN plug?

Here's wiki page on DIN plugs, they come with various numbers of internal pins:
