Why light travel at different speed in anisotropic material pls help me. It creates a lot of confusion.
It's because v=c/n where v is the velocity of light in the material, c is the speed of light in a vacuum, and n is the refractive index of the material in the direction of travel.
@centrox,
Thank you but i have another confusion that" why light doesnot suffer any birifringence in the optical axis "pls help me
