The bird flew into our window. The bird looked sick; it might have the flu.
This reminds me of how I would hear the BBC saying that someone was "in hospital." I grew up only hearing that someone was in "the hospital."
However, since Americans want to mimic the British, today I hear American newscasters say, "someone is in hospital."
Give us time and we'll probably be back under British rule, in my sycophantic opinion.
Lastly, everyone I knew was saying "the Ukraine." Then it sort of got promulgated that it is, "Ukraine." I really hope no in Ukraine was offended.
