Try doing a search on ebay. That will give you a good idea of its value. Or at least it's replacement value.

Hi Seed..i've inherited a bunch of coins and am in the process of trying to find out values etc.. there are lots of websites that would give you guidance ..........

http://www.pcgs.com/prices/

http://coins.about.com/

http://dir.yahoo.com/Recreation/Hobbies/Collecting/Coins_and_Currency/

http://www.bestcoin.com/

just to name a few..

but you might want to go to google and try looking through the pages and pages of listings to find which one would be the best for you. Good luck...

i collected coins for many years, i have roman coins bablylonian coins and most of the world countries coins from various ages..
i havent done for years cos i found out that its ok when u r buying them but when you want to seel them suddenly they are worth ten times less...

not to pee on your fire seed my friend but for a coin to be really worth a lot of money it has to be
very rare,
in excellent condition,
and
you also have to find a person who really wants it for their collection
a coin worth 1000 dollars to a man that wants it, is only worth 100 to a man that doesnt.....

anyway to find the values, seed and mata,

if your coin was made between 1701-present day
you can buy a book called 'catalogue of world coins'
these have every coin minted since 1701 in the whole world and their prices
i have a silver dollar from 1898 is my most expensive american coin
the irony is that some rare US coins are worth more than roman coins thousands of years old...

otherwise
i advise going to the most well known coin dealer u can find and asking him....

hope this helps Very Happy
