Can correlative conjuctions EITHER... OR be a distinctive (separative) conjuctions?
The Chicago Manual Of Style (16th edition), - 2010 gives an example of distinctive conjuction EITHER ... OR on page 255, but it also provides the same one as another type of conjuction.
Here is the sentence:
That bird is either a heron or a crane.
