I have asked the Uffizi museum commission with no response. This is a white marble statue for which I could find no id.

@wthurber524,
I'm interested;

Have you tried to talk with the Pitti Palace people?

I was only there once and not very enthused, clearly dumb of me. I get it the place is a treasure.

Ask them.

@Olivier5,
What is the title, and who is the artist? It's a white marble statue, a seated Cupid or angel, with a dog at his feet.

@ossobucotemp,
I inquired of the Uffizi organization, because the Pitti is part of it. Absolutely no response, twice(should I be surprised?!)

@Olivier5,
I'd love to post the pictures I have--can't copy and paste .jpg or screen shot to this!

@wthurber524,
I perused through the contents of the Palatine gallery and couldn't find anything related to your question:

Galleria Palatina

@ossobucotemp,
I don't understand why you don't email or write a letter or make a phone call to the Palatine Gallery - surely there is a staff there. I get it the Palatine Gallery at the Pitti is under the auspices of the Uffizi, but don't get why you can't just ask the gallery itself. Perhaps that is somehow verboten, but have you even tried to talk with them?

@wthurber524,
Where did you get those pictures from in the first place?
