A very talented but financially unsuccessful artist making a career change to Graphic Design was telling her husband (an IT Specialist) about a TED talk she watched in which the speaker was discussing creativity & how it gets stifled in the educational system. The husband was uninterested and told his wife she was 'naive' for listening to such drivel. She was offended and asked him why he called her naive in this particular case (&in general). His answer was "because I'm more clever than you in every respect--everything. Even art--the only reason I don't do anything artistic (to prove my statement) is because it is uninteresting."
Why would a man say such a thing to his wife? What should she do?
He would say it because he is a jerk. She should leave him.
