My GSD/Aussie mix attacks my other dogs. Usually it happens indoors when they collide or one of the dogs startles him. And it doesn't always happen. Most times they're all fine and they play well together, and we never know when he will attack. How can we help him?

@tobysmom,
How vicious are the attacks? I had a female Rott/Lab that was the mate of my Dobbie. She appeared to be inseparable from Dobs, always licking him. But there were things going on without my knowledge. I wondered why Dobs had small protrusions of skin hanging from his chest and neck area. I later found out they were from bite marks from Rottie. On one occasion I saw it happen, she licked Dobs teeth and then wanted him to lick hers in return. He turned away, and she exploded in anger, biting his shoulder. I tried to stop it, and she bit into my arm. She quieted down and seemed to be sorry for my injury, so I didn't get angry at her. The puncture on my arm took a long time to heal completely, there was some kind of white lump under the skin. On a moonlit night, I grow very hairy and have an urge to howl.... Just kidding.

@tobysmom,
Dominance.
Who is your pack-leader?
Clearly not you.

And I NEVER 'train' my pack,. I teach them their limitations.
Sit, lay down, fetch, roll over = bollux!

The moment I become less than is expected of an alpha - They will take my place.

A dog thrives on its position in the pack - Give it one.

Dog-responses are instantaneous - Reaction is instant and over with thereafter.

As above, so below - They will treat you as you treat them - EXACTLY.
