That darn apostrophe!

I saw it both ways: New Year's Eve Celebration and New Years Eve Celebration.

Which is it?

per google, the apostrophe wins "119,000,000 results" to "48,400,00 results"...

New Year's Eve. Same as a dollar's worth or Monday's chores.

When referring to the holiday, we capitalize New, Year's and Eve, and we need the possessive form “New Year’s” according to The Chicago Manual of Style, section 8.88.
