Old Jungle Movie Soundtrack

Back in the 60's & 70's I remember watching old movies set in jungles, with people wearing safari suits. The classical music soundtrack was very distinct with lots of slow drums. Can anyone tell me what the music may have been?

During the 60s, there were television replays of old jungle movies and serials from the 40s and 50s. They played Jungle Jim, Tarzan, The White Witch Doctor, Soldier of Fortune, etc.. If you look up these series on IMDB, maybe you can find out the music directors. There were also many comedies set in safari costumes with Abbott& Costello, Bob Hope, and a lot of others.
