Yes and no. I say yes because the price for medical care have been soaring, causing the dramatic rise of insurance cost. I know many companies nowadays are complaining they are struggling to pay for their employee's insurance bills. If you consider from this perspective, definitely the healthcare is becoming increasingly unaffordable for companies. No because the healthcare policy is usually a part of the employee benefits package when the HR dept. make the compensation and benefits plan. Since each year, the benefits budget typically do not fluctuate much, if more money is spent in health policy, they always shrink other benefits items like life insurance, sick leave, daycare, etc... Therefore, it is always on us, the employees to live through the pain of uncontrolled medical price.
