I just came from a meeting with Grand Duke.

As most of you know, Grand Duke has chosen to leave the quiet little A2K community. Panzade started a thread in an attempt to bring the Duke back into the midst, but his efforts were in vain.

I decided to take matters into my own hands. I dressed up in a nice suit, put on my best tophat, and went searching for Grand Duke.

I found him in the park, feeding the pigeons. He had a sorrowful look on his face and didn't notice me at first. He just kept throwing bird seed on the ground and making gentle cooing noises to the birds.

Finally he looked up and saw me. "Ratzenhofer! What the hell do you want? I thought I made it perfectly clear that I am divorcing A2K and all of its members."

He got up and started to leave. I had to act quickly, so I dropped on my knees and began to plead with him....

But he just stared at me, impassively, and then quietly turned and walked away.

I remained on my knees for quite some time, the gentle rain washing away my tears. Finally, I arose. I slowly walked from the park, and the sad realization hit me that the Grand Duke wasn't kidding.

He's not coming back.

This site is less because of his unfortunate decision.

I still need those addresses of the people who insulted and/or debased him. I know some 'guys' who can take care of it. Let the Duke know.

Laughing

Ooops. I guess I shouldn't be laughing on such a somber thread.

I'm gonna change that emoticon.

Crying or Very sad

Just shows to go ya -- A2K ain't for the thin-skinned. But, I'm with you, Cav. I know a few stand-up guys myself, good fellas, know what I mean? Get a list together and between us we'll make sure those dudes get whacked.

And now.... a quiet moment.

Would someone be kind enough to sing a rendition of Barbara Streisand's "Memories"

I remember when Grand Duke was just a kid. That mischievous smile, the twinkling eyes.... God, I'm gonna miss him.

Grand Duke was the first member to quote me in his tagline. He also translated it into some Scottish dialect, Georgie, I think <sic>. That was clever, but now he also has more threads dedicated to him than me. Call me selfish, but he must return. It's a grudge match now. Smile Put on the gloves, and let's duke it out, mate.

I remember the time Grand Duke, Cav, and I went to the zoo.

We fed the elephants, laughed at the antics of the seals, and had a nice picnic lunch where we discussed the latest A2K activities.

And now the Duke is gone.

<races from room, arms flailing, sobs filling the air>

I remember that zoo trip fondly. Do you recall the song we made up when that drunk lady's blouse fell off in the monkey cage? "Here comes ze-bra...." I will miss those times. <sigh>
