"Is technology uncountable" kind of leaves me dangling, Tail. I might say, "Are technologies uncountable?" tho not sure what I'm asking because I'd suppose there are obviously only a limited number of 'em

Techs are in English whereas info is in English

Maybe we need some context....

1. Technology can be countable or uncountable.
2. Technologies is using the noun as countable, as its plural form indicates.

3. This question should start 'Are', because 'technology/ies' is a short way of writing two words, namely 'technology' and 'technologies'. Note: writing contractions with slashes in that way is acceptable in informal writing and notes, but in formal writing write everything out in full.

You would be a duffer if you did because you are using the word as a countable noun.

Uncountable: technology has changed the world.
Countable: many new technologies have emerged since 1945.

Information is singular/uncountable so use 'is'. See above for the difference between 'technology' and 'a technology'.

@swallowtail,
Why is it "surprising?"

Since "technologies" is plural, "are" seems to be the correct verb.

@cicerone imposter,
But I believe the subject is 'information'.
