Sticky Crush Situation. Help???

So at school I have a group of 5 good friends. One of them is a guy (John) and then four girls. This year he glowed up and now is really confident, cute, nice, but very flirty. Obviously somebody was going to have a crush on him. It turns out that all four of us have a crush on him BUT WAIT HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND THAT LIVES IN HONG KONG and we live in the states. Out of the four girls in the group, I'm better friends with one of them (lets say her name is Anna) and we shared our feelings for this guy and talk about him all the time together about how he dresses, his hair, and his actions towards us. One of the four, let's call her Emily, Anna and I are annoyed with recently so we can't tell her how we feel about this guy. Because Emily doesn't know, she is really obvious about liking this guy and she is telling everyone at school and Anna and I feel super awkward. On the other hand, the fourth girl, lets say Sally, is very flirty with other guys and her ex and John and she admitted to liking John to Anna and I (in conclusion Emily is our friend but Sally, Anna, and I are better friends and Anna and I are the best of best friends). Sally and Emily don't know that Anna and I have a (very very large) crush on him.

Okay soooo about John: really Smart, cute, funny, amazing dancer, have been our friend for almost 3 or 4 years (acquaintances all of middle school, better friends is freshman year, increasingly close for next two years), in junior year got hot, plays sports. He leaves his guy friends to talk to us (kinda a big deal, girls and guy groups are somewhat separate at our school) and always touches/holds hands with all of us, hugs us from the back or front, tells us he loves us a lot, tells us we are beautiful, always asks if we need help, wraps his legs around us when we sit down, comes in really close proximity, tells us we are hot/ he would want to bang us etc. (he mostly does it to Anna, Sally and I, depending on the day or the week) but he also insults us a lottt to be funny I guess

I guess my question here is what the hell is going on??? He definitely comes and talks to our group of friends at lunch because he likes someone but we don't know what it is because he changes it all the time. Am I waisting my time liking him? What does it mean when he starts ignoring someone sometimes? Is supporting my best friend liking him (Anna), and her supporting me and trying to get each other with him an ideal situation? How can I tell if he likes me over my friends? Will other guy friends (friends with John) one or two of us have told get in the way of who he picks?
