How would I paint four green circles with a radius of 4.4 meters (representing trees) onto a concrete floor painted charcoal. Any ideas?

@Helen Jones,
If I understand your post would you not just cut a piece of string or fishing string over 4.4 meters in length leaving enough extra to create a loop around the dowel so the string will loop around freely close to the bottom of the dowel. Use the stick as a make-shift drawing compass with a piece of chalk tied to the other end of the string. Using the pivoting radius to draw a circle on the floor. There are probably manufactured tools to do this at an art store. You may want to give one a call. For the accurate and symmetrical placement of 4 circles on a floor you will need to take a lot more measurements. I don't know how important accuracy is to your endeavor. I hope this at least gives you a start. Candlelight8
