My wife can send me secret fb messages but I can not reply to them. Everytime I do it say send failed with connection setup error. It also happens with random other people on FB. Yet other like my brother work without issue. This has been going in for a while and FB has not responded to my help request.
Any idea what is going on. like I said I can have two secret conversations going at the same time and one fails to send the other has no issues.

Huh, odd. I have a friend whose direct FB messages to me are blank unless I look on my phone. There are no weird privacy settings so I wonder if you are experiencing something similar. Wish I could tell you anything other than to try a different browser or a different means of looking, e. g. messenger app or via browser, that sort of thing.
Well secret messenger only works through the fb messenger app. I use secret because my wife has to log into facebook for work and we don't want the company to be nosey and see our personal conversation. Yes I know use another chat app but fb messenger is the one we use for everything so hate to crank up a different one.
I might try creating a new fb account to see if it's something tied to my account.

It is only allowed between 2 registered devices, so have you used it on another device?
Hi! Try these steps
Open Messenger app
Go to Settings or the "Me" tab
Scroll down to secret conversations and go into it
Enable Secret Conversation
Try Deleting all secret message if this takes time to set up...

Help!! I tried this to no avail. What now. Could it be possible that my correspondent has blocked me?
Also having this problem and no guidance on messenger help centre - it does say you can do it on multiple devices (tho only on the app, both android and ios). Would love assistance with this!

I think the problem is that the one you are messaging in secret conversion disabled secret conversation that is why they do not receive any messages in secret conversation
