I'm not talking about 'gun holder'.
I probably have got the word wrong. Please correct it.

Example of usages
He is so 'gunhold' of the past event.
or...
He is so 'gunhold' of it.

The phrase is more than likely to be gung ho - meaning over-the-top enthusiastic fan of something or fanatically dedicated follower.

As an example: that gung-ho Trump supporter was committed to the Home For Criminally Insane.
