Is $7500 a fair price to replace a 5x3 porch with 3 steps, alum railings with a new one. This is in New Jersey.
Besides building a new porch, the contractor has agreed to demolish the old porch, remove all debris in a dumpster. The porch will have a stone facing with blue stone steps

Get at least three bids. Make sure you check references. Pay on progress, and not before.

Definitely, and final payment should be contingent on proper clean up after construction is complete.
