My kitchen sink flashes it's blue drop, even though I've run a small pipe and then a big pipe to it. Do I need something else. Also, do I need a drain in the kitchen?

@thel19531,
You're not making it very clear what your problem is. Most of us do not understand what your problem is.

@cicerone imposter,
Right. I've never heard of a sink having even the potential to flash, but I'm always behind on technology.

@roger,
Wow! There are kitchen sinks with water that lights up.

@cicerone imposter,
Ya know, sometimes being technologically impaired doesn't seem so bad after all. I was thinking different colors to indicate water temperature, and maybe an audible warning if it starts to overflow. People can't be trusted to figure these things out by themselves.

@roger,
You just invent that. The royalties will be humongus.

@cicerone imposter,
Actually, I think we owe this question a serious answer. I just don't have one.

@roger,
You're right, but I'm still not sure what the OP is asking.

@thel19531,
once again - gotta ask why you've got a bathroom pedestal sink in your kitchen.

it's quite a bold stylistic move

(and probably spam)

@ehBeth,
I'm no smartie on house plumbing but I used to be a whiz at irrigation design, most of which I don't remember at all by now, except drawing fast fast fast as deadlines lurked. One's hand could cramp - this was just before CAD. I do still recognize the word "pipes".

I might be able to google this, but others would probably be better at that, and could get a flash for their efforts. Sounds like an installation problem.

@roger,
Some years ago, we had a hot water circulation timer installed in both our bathrooms to get hot water at 8 in the morning and 8 at night to reduce water waste. It's worked out pretty well all these years.

@cicerone imposter,
Oh. I keep my water set at midrange and make a point of doing the dishes about an hour before showering. The dishes use just enough hot water that the heater cycles and there is plenty of hot water when I need it.
