I have a temporary trailer that I'm feeding with a 3 wire (2 hots and ground )with a plug on it plugged into a generator . My ac and heat work in the trailer but my outlets and lights do not why is this ?

Do I need to run a neutral 2 hots and a ground to feed the panel to get my outlets to work
