Not quite suicidal, but it takes away one of the enjoyment of living. At least I was not restricted from smoking Cuban cigars which I rarely do anywhose.

I started saving money early in our marriage; saved between 15 and 20% every year, and invested it into funds at Vanguard. It's done very well, and it has allowed me to travel the world; 85 countries in over 200 trips. Still have a few shekels left to leave to our son.

One of my accomplishments is that I (we) have never spoken about the family economy accept with our bankperson.
