Problems with group event invites

I run a page on Facebook for a group and we have more than 3p0 members lately when Icreate an event and make sure the invite all box is checked, I can't see that the invite is going to anyone other than my friends who are in that group. The number of people invited used to say over 300 now it says 12. Can anyone help please
