Feeding wild birds peas, etc....

I haven't fed bread to birds in so many years but I found out from a Youtube video that it would be a good alternative to feed wild birds peas.

How about you? Do you have bird feeders in your yard? Go to parks to feed the birds? What do you bring for them? Hopefully not white bread.

@tsarstepan,
I'd forgotten that bread is not a great idea for them - but I haven't done that in years either since I save bread scraps or crumbs to use in some of my cooking.

I have a childhood memory from our year in New York City that one time we turned off a parkway (probably Merritt Pkway) to a pond with lots of ducks, and my father leaned over to feed a duck, and the duck grabbed his cigar..
Since this was long ago, I don't remember if the the cigar was burning or not, but I'll guess that it was.

Just saw the video, liked it, plus it was closed captioned, v. helpful.
