Hi guys
Hopefully a simple problem solve for you, but l cant be sure of whats wrong
I have a 6 amp lighting cable from the consumer unit. I recently finished plasterboarding the ceiling where the cable runs.
Have l put a screw through the wire?
Test results:
when power is off-continuity buzzer 'goes off' when l check neutral and earth, wall switch can be on or off. Buzzer sounds
when power is on- meter reads 240 v when Live and Neutral connected also when Live and Earth connected
What have l done wrong Guys?
Sounds like you're in the UK, or else another part of Britworld, from the terms you used. Those readings sound normal.
