Quotes With Colons

Is it correct to use quotes in this circumstance?:

Another example of this conflict has been observed by Miss Watson in her everyday life: “I’ve seen young men suffering from mental illness, unable to ask for help for fear it would make them [...] less of a man.”

In this case, I'm not using the colon for the purposes of introducing the quote specifically. It's more for connecting the two phrases.
