If the current rates hold it should be well under 24 hours.

OK, dròm, the bet is taken, I'd say in about 60hours from now on, approx. 2:00 AM GMT, meaning 8:00AM GMT on wednesday we'll have 20,000, by my bet!

Let's see what's my wager? I can't be there to watch it, so my wager will be low... Ok, I got it! I'll take out the hamster trash for a week!

You have stats on your side, BD. Ok, if you lose, you'll take out the hamster-trash for a week (a twenty-four hour job.) If I lose, then I will come over to Germany and sing some awful sea shanty with the Green Bay Republican Jive Band.

Why not, as a celebration?

Yet, I croon well, BD! Just try to forget the eighty-year-old backing singers croaking, and focus on me. You'll be fine!

BD, when you were at my show, I thought I saw Urs covering your mouth as we all sang "Fun Fun Fun".

Damn! I'm just going to have to scare the Newbies, then!

*Goes to stand at A2K gate, porting an awful fake moustache and a placard that says 'Welcome to the Jungle', to sing Red Army songs into people's ears and/or shout 'Yeah, you don't know me. I'm the Godfather o' this joint.'*

What is amazing to me is that A2K is almost 10 times as large as the town I grew up in. <gulp>

Hmm I guess we should rent a bigger hall. Will Wembley Stadium do?

We'll have to wait until they've finished building it, Jespah! Good idea though. Maybe Trafalgar Square?

really unbeliveably. May I ask you where at the Boston area you grew up?

No.Because the Wembley Stadium was torn off a few years ago. If you mean the stadium in London.... Where in the U.S is else a stadium with this name?

I didn't grow up in Boston, I grew up on Long Island, in Huntington Township.

And I meant the London place - shows how much I'm up on European stadia.

Don't feel bad Jespah. There was a Wembley Stadium, and there will be a Wembley Station, but there isn't one at the moment!

Coincidently, this has the unfortunate side-effect of meaning that the English national stadium (which in our arrogant way is also the British national stadium) is currently the Millenium Stadium. Which is in Wales.

almost 12 hours later we're at 19960

let's see... 34 in 12 hours, so say 40 in 13-14 hours.

if my pitiful math skills haven't betrayed me (again!) we should hit it between 4:30 & 5:30am EDT 8/24
