Sweatshirt lining

My daughter has a texture issue. When I wash her sweatshirts she says the lining gets balled up and it's not fluffy anymore. I use softener and wash her sweatshirts on hand wash or delicate and low spin. Her twin sister borrowed a sweatshirt then washed regular and she's terribly upset it's not fluffy anymore. Is there anything I can do to refluff the lining?

@Denise1cheer,
If your daughter is distraught because her jumper is insufficiently fluffy, at the seams - Then send her to Syria for a week - Her fluffy-jumper issue will fade rapidly.

@Denise1cheer,
Probably not much. She might do better with a shirt on under the sweatshirt - is she okay with that? Texture issues could potentially be a sign of something else, e. g. an allergy or the like.

@jespah,
The op tells us 'she is 'upset", not ill.
"Softener" NEVER use, btw (another story) does actually 'soften', by coating your clothes' fibres (Thus you) with a bisphenolised substance (Check BPA (Bisphenol A)) which, along with linen softening (De-fluffyfying), happens to generate death by virtually everything.
