Should I dye?

It's time I dyed my hair again. Actually, it's past due.
As usual I am procrastinating. Applying hair dye is one of my least favorite activities. Of course, after around 3 days I am very happy with the result.

Hey Brom. I colored my hair about 6 months ago. It looked weird. I'll only do it again if I have to.

You're a guy, right? So you don't have to. Gray hair looks distinguished on men.

Altogether, I think men have it easier when it comes to the ravages of time.

I've decided to put it off yet again since I think I got blasted by my dd's sneezes.

Thanks Debra... but I should turn in now.
I spent too much time looking up sea buckthorns online and dreaming about starting a weird-fruit-farm since I don't ever want ot get a real job again.

g'night

I've been dying my hair since I was 16. I let it grow out for a few months when I was in my mid-20s, and it looked so dull and mousy that I haven't done that since.

I say...you're an adult. You can have any color hair you want. Go for it.

Go for the color! :-D I've been doing the dyeing thing since I was about 25. If I go too long in between, it's pretty obvious.

As a teenager my hair was just about every colour under the sun. Now it's back to it's natural hue and I find myself reluctant to change that, I've grown quite fond of it.

However...

It would be nice to be a red head again for a while, that was always my favourite.

Now that I've cultivated the thick mohawk growing down the length of my back, I can't decide whether to do liberty spikes, or just dye it green.

I would'e gone for flourescent pink liberty spikes, for that colour-co-ordinated look.

I've been fortunate so far that at 40 I don't have much grey and the grey that I have isn't noticable. I do dred the day when the grey starts to show.

You are fortunate, Montana. I noticed my first grays in my early 20's. I'm 36 and the top of my head and my temples are all gray.

I think the worse part of it is the texture. If it were just a matter of color, it wouldn't be so bad. Hair color treatments do seem to help the texture, so that's another reason I should get to it.

I still haven't done it since we all have colds and that seems as good an excuse as any.

I really miss my old (or should I say 'young') hair.

I've been colouring my hair for nearly 30 years. Love it, love it, love it. I try to grow it out occasionally, but get bored on my way to normal. I shaved my head for my 30th birthday. As soon as I had stubble bangs again, I dyed them fucsia. Love colour, love colour. Got a cold? The perfect time to colour! The heat on your head will be good for you Very Happy

My mother also went grey very early and since she had jet black hair, it really showed. I have my fathers light brown hair, so the greys get hidden in there.

You're right in saying that hair color does help with the texture of your hair.

I've got light brown/dark blonde hair naturally (or used to, decades ago). The grey didn't really start coming in 'til fairly recently - but colour's about a lot more than grey! It's about fun!
