Installing a Russell Hobbs RHM2574

The manual for the RHM2574 calls for 20cm. clearance between the appliance and any walls. That would leave it overhanging the edge of the worktop by several centimetres. Does it really need such a massive amount of clearance? Has anyone successfully operated one with less than that?

@tony1938,
That model is a combination microwave and convection and grill oven. If you only use it as a microwave, you needn't worry; however, if you use it as a grill or convection oven, it is ill-advised to mount it close to a wall or other appliance. They need to properly vent the fan and dissipate heat. I see that 20cm is 7.8 inches. I have a similar type of appliance and keep it about 6-8 inches from any wall when I'm using it as something other than a microwave.

@tony1938,
Go through the manual and you will find the solution there.
