Instagram is weird

Wed 17 Feb, 2016 08:48 pm
So I created my instagram account and commented on a post (it wasn't anything bad) and commentEd another post but it pops up as my comment has been blocked. So I made another account and made a comment and again, the second comment was blocked( I even tried commenting on a different post) so I didn't do anything bad or got blocked from a person nothing like that. I just made my account 10 minutes ago. Why is instagram doing this to me?

@wanttoknow2,
How do I stop Instagram blocking my comments for no reason?

Great question! Instagram puts daily Engagement Activity Limits on your account. They do this to keep you from growing quickly. There is not an exact limit for every account. I have an extremely high limit, because I have a ton of followers and have proven over time to be an engaged Instagramer.You might have a lower limit if your account is newer.

On average, those limits are:

- 1000 likes per day
- 400-500 comments per day
- 250 follows
- 250 unfollows
-

Exceed these limits, and you are put in "Time-Out" for 24 hours. Meaning you can’t do any of the above.

If you need help growing your Instagram account or increasing your engagement activity, then I’d suggest looking into an Instagram Marketing Firm.

If you like my answer, please give me credit by "upvoting" right now. Thanks!

UPDATE: I get an error when trying to add a comment.

I get an error when trying to add a comment.

If you're getting an error when posting a comment, you may be using an outdated version of Instagram. In order to post a comment, you must be running at least Instagram version 2.4 on your Apple phone or version 1.0.5 on your Android phone.

If your version of Instagram is current, your comment may be failing for a different reason:
You can only include up to 5 @ mentions in a single comment
You can only include up to 30 #hashtags on a single photo
You can't post multiple, duplicate comments (including emoji)
We have these guidelines in place to help reduce spam on Instagram. There are so many great conversations that take place in the comment feeds on photos, and we want to make sure those conversations aren't interrupted by spammy comments.

When you post a comment that fits any of the three reasons above, you'll receive a pop-up warning prompting you to learn more about commenting or delete your comment. We're also filtering certain words and phrases. We hope these changes encourage more genuine interactions between people on Instagram.

@wanttoknow2,
The real answer is because Instagram is an extremely confusing complex mess no one bothers to explain or go over. Despite being logged in, I cannot even find my profile because the icon people say to use doesn't even exist for me. I also can't find a way to message anyone outright. The only way I am only able to message someone, is by replying to a message they already sent me.
pretty much all the features people say they use on Instagram, I cannot find. I'm not even sure how anyone is posting pictures or video.

Also when I launch Instagram, all I see is another person's video/picture and that's it. Until someone provides an actual instruction manual that teaches real information that helps, Instagram is pointless and doesn't do anything for anyone.

I manual containing all pictures that explain what every icon and interface is and how to navigate it, it's unusable and no one bothers to help.
