I had my first period while climbing the Washington monument, talk about stress.

I wasn't kidding. That happened to me when I was thirteen, on a girl scout trip.

I do hope you treat other posters better than you did in your post to me.

Do any women / teen girls live in the house you are visiting?

If so, ask one of them to assist you.

If no other females are around, do the following. Fold up some toilet paper really thick, use that as a pad, borrow someone's long coat or jacket and go to the convenience/drug/grocery/etc store.

If no long coats available, tie the arms of a sweater or long sleeve shirt around your waist.

PS - right from the start I had really heavy periods. I know that can be a real embarrassment and mess.
