How to cut bottle

Assuming the gadget below makes a neat score in eg the wine bottle, how do we then best part it. My Better Half, whom I'm sure you will agree is much smarter than I, says by immersing one half in hot water, which set me wondering which half

So might you have a better idea
Thanks all

The answer is your better half.

A better idea would be to just buy a half bottle.

See aforesaid, still in stitches. Assonance intentional

I should probably explain that she's using top half in club project called "self-watering plant" where the neck is placed in a bowl with shallow water. I'm not sure what holds it up but if you're interested I'll inquire

Clever, I thought. No not you Miss but the concept

Now I can see why in your profile, "User has not yet added friends"

Just kidding Miss, couldn't resist. With some it's hard to tell

@dalehileman,
Why spend $50 on a glass cutter when you could use a pair of scissors and a plastic bottle with it's own cap?

I love guessing games, is it held up by the other half of the bottle?

@dalehileman,
Here's a little hint I've discovered to my delight. Whenever you are considering buying or using a product and you are not sure how to use it, just go to YouTube and type in the product, (the model number too if the company has a whole line). I just typed in Kinkajou bottle cutter and got this instructional video which covers the whole process:

Good luck!
