Asexual, Pansexual, And Demisexual?

Reply Fri 18 Dec, 2015 10:43 pm
I feel like I'm asexual, pansexual, and demisexual but I've searched so many times and I know it's not possible. But I feel like it can be but it's hard to explain, like you don't want sexual attraction but you'd date any gender after getting to know them. I just want answers please.

@InsaneJax,
Forget labels. Enjoy your life and don't hurt other people. Eat more cheese.

The last one is optional.

@Setanta,
Actually, cheese should be mandatory. Show a doctor's note if you're lactose intolerant.

Prophecy of a Ten Ton Cheese

Who hath prophetic vision sees
In future times a ten ton cheese,
Several companies could join
To furnish curd for great combine
More honor far than making gun
Of mighty size and many a ton.

Machine it could be made with ease
That could turn this monster cheese,
The greatest honour to our land
Would be this orb of finest brand,
Three hundred curd they would need squeeze
For to make this mammoth cheese.

So British lands could confederate
Three hundred provinces in one state,
When all in harmony agrees
To be pressed in one like this cheese,
Then one skillful hand could acquire
Power to move British empire.

But various curds must be combined
And each factory their curd must grind,
To blend harmonious in one
This great cheese of mighty span,
And uniform in quality
A glorious reality.

But it will need a powerful press
This cheese queen to caress,
And a large extent of charms
Hoop will encircle in its arms,
And we do not now despair,
But we shall see it at world's fair.

And view the people all agog, so
Excited o'er it in Chicago,
To seek fresh conquests queen of cheese
She may sail across the seas,
Where she would meet reception grand
From the warm hearts in old England.

@Lordyaswas,

We have seen the Queen of cheese,
Laying quietly at your ease,
Gently fanned by evening breeze --
Thy fair form no flies dare seize.

All gaily dressed soon you'll go
To the great Provincial Show,
To be admired by many a beau
In the city of Toronto.

Cows numerous as a swarm of bees --
Or as the leaves upon the trees --
It did require to make thee please,
And stand unrivalled Queen of Cheese.

May you not receive a scar as
We have heard that Mr. Harris
Intends to send you off as far as
The great World's show at Paris.

Of the youth -- beware of these --
For some of them might rudely squeeze
And bite your cheek; then songs or glees
We could not sing o' Queen of Cheese.

We'rt thou suspended from baloon,
You'd cast a shade, even at noon;
Folks would think it was the moon
About to fall and crush them soon.

@InsaneJax,
I'm not a good help on this, but I suggest you do some more thinking (you don't want sexual attraction) and seem (hard to tell) to like it with a person.

What? I'd suggest doing some reading on all this. I don't mean this jokingly.

Asexual: A person who does not experience sexual attraction towards anyone else. They can, however, fall in love and form relationships (romantic and sexual orientation are not the same).

Demisexual: A person who only feels sexually attracted to someone they have formed a romantic or strong emotional relationship with.

Pansexual: A person who is capable of feeling sexually attracted to anyone, regardless of sex or gender identity. Different from bisexuality in that bisexuals are attracted to men and women (i.e. binary gender). Some pansexuals define their orientation as being attracted to a person's personality in order to differentiate between the two.

@InsaneJax,
You could be asexual, demiromantic, and panromantic. Which would be if you didn't experience sexual attraction, but you experience emotional/romantic attraction after getting to know someone. But there's a lot of different types of asexuality and demisexuality. It's a spectrum! There's a lot of gray areas. Don't label yourself to much, and know that other people feel the same way. <3

@InsaneJax,
What does the phrase "don't want sexual attraction" mean?

Does that mean you don't want to be sexually attracted to other people (but maybe are)?

Or that you don't want other people to be sexually attracted to you?

Or something else?

(I agree with the others who are saying that labels don't matter... but I want to understand the original point.)

I confess to being a Demi-sexual for a while after watching Ghost back in 1990.

There. I've said it.
