To stretch a hat to long oval, what size stretcher should you use on a 7-3/8" hat?
Your head works pretty well.

Well, first I need to know if its a Derby, a Stetson or a fedora.

I usually slip my hat stretcher inside and in your case you should eschew the ball method where it's wet behind the ears and thoroughly all over.

I just get my dog to take hold of the brim and then play the tuggy tug game with him for a minute or so.
The slobber washes off on a warm wash, but always read the care label just in case.
