How to choose an article for "THEORY OF THE FIRM" analysis and inference.

Hello,
I am new here, and my name is Daniel.
I have to do a paper for next week about "Theory of the Firm", the problem is that I dont know how to do it.
I know how to calculate the ATC, AVC, whether there was loss/profit, etc. But I just have no idea, how to choose a good article about it.
The article has to be recent, no earlier than Sep 1 2015.
Unfortunately, we were no given a rubric for it, only the following:

Your analysis should focus on the firm's short-run (current) situation:
• Changes in the firm’s production costs and causes
o Fixed vs. variable costs
o Average fixed vs. average variable costs
• Economics vs. diseconomies of scale
• Changes in the firm's market share and causes
o Discussion should be market structure-appropriate
• Changes in the firm’s short-run profitability
Your inferences should focus on the firm's long-run options --> Given what is happening in the short run (increasing or decreasing profit), what should the firm do to ensure success in the long run? What options do they have to increase (or maintain) profitability in the long run? Options will very much depend upon the events currently happening. The following are possible topics to include:
• How can the firm reduce production costs?
• How can the firm increase revenue/sales?
• Minimum efficient scale and minimization of average total cost
• Potential responses by the competition
• Industry trends (what are competitors doing?)
• Market share trends
• Market trends (demand shocks)
• Again, discussion should be market structure-appropriate --> plausible long run responses will be VERY different depending on the market structure in which the firm operates
The following topics are NOT allowed for Paper 2, as we have either already covered it in lecture or we will cover it in lecture before the Midterm.

• HECO
• The release of any new model of smartphone, camera, computer, or other electronic device
• Any extended example from class
