Tabs revisited

Anyone using Mac/Apple who uses tabs: To keep 'em up there I switched from Shut Down to Sleep, having the additional advantage of quicker access to it all--if my No. 1 Son is right, requiring only a few watts during hiatus

Still given a certain keystroke or combo thereof occasionally J/W deletes the tabs for reason as yet undetermined

Why most of us don't use tabs is a mystery to me, but once having established 'em, I don't see how one could get along without 'em (tho No. 1 warns, they do occupy some mem

In any case I'm hoping some newcomer might have a bit of insight in how to keep the tabs no matter what
