i want to cut my bangs but i'm not sure if i can?

so, basically, i already have normal blunt bangs that go into my eyes a bit and the look has become a bit tiring after having it for such a long time. i want to try the korean see through fringe look

but i'm not sure if its possible with my bangs right now, do i have to grow it out? to be honest, all i'm looking for is the long part at the sides of my bangs.
i'm not a hair expert so i can't use really big words for this.
