Bottom line, you need to talk to someone local about this, not internet people who don't know what's appropriate where you live.

Personally, I'm not a fan of dedicated wedding dresses. If I was going to suggest something, it would be to buy a nice dress or suit you could wear for other occasions. Dedicated wedding clothes are a waste of money to my way of thinking.

I thought the name Bennie indicated you were a male. The only males, or so I thought, who wear white wedding dresses are cross-dressers.
