2 pin halogen

Halogen went out after ~15 years. Bought replacement bulb. Installed but would not go on. Assumed it was the receptacle. Bought a replacement QRX-6.35C. Here is where I am stuck. Original connects via a male flat metal prong to a female receiver. Replacement is just bare leads. Is there some kit that will allow me to mount the bare leads to these flat prongs or is there a specific receptacle that I require. It sure looks like the original had the prongs attached and some shrink plastic wrapper was applied to lock it into place.
