I am dating a man who is very much in love with me, adores me, knows me, is tolerant of me, fulfills my longtime wishes for sexual companionship and someone to desire me - but we don't have a ton in common and I don't have that "I want to be with you all the time and I light up when I see you" feeling for him, that I associate with love. I also have a friend who I feel very deeply for in a platonic soulmate way but don't have romantic love for and feel like my feelings for my man should match that, or at least approach it. thoughts?
@Lovetouch,
I think you've got a notion of love that's a bit unrealistic. Not everybody loves the exact same way.
That having been said, if you have little in common with this guy who loves you, he might not be so right for you, either.
