Latitudinarianism - Broad Church - Anarchism - Church of England
An interesting question perhaps is whether the CofE [as a representative religion] can be Broad without being Anarchistic. What this really centres on is how cosmology and culture is treated, as opposed to ethics. There will be a point at which mere facts shade into ethics. As with the Real Presence or Transubstantiation. If this is taken as a an ethical matter then the CofE can barely consider itself a united Church while it includes those who believe in it, and also members who see the wine as purely commemorative. Once the boundary is crossed into ethics then a Broad Church becomes Anarchistic.
It may be trusted that most CofE members will view facts [true or false] about the wine and about many other matters in the 39 Articles as distinct from ethics. In fact the 39 Articles were created at a point in history quite different to where we are today. These are not elementary universal ethical values but an interpretation of the world. Anglo-Catholics like to imagine they are returning to the original Church, but that will still be their modern interpretation of the Church, and one that may itself have been based on an outmoded view of the world.
Therefore, a Broad Church, and one that is not bigoted may be well suited to the modern world. It is consonant with Altruism. To be consonant with Anarchism - at the extreme - it would be Broad in an ethical sense and embrace any individualistic view of virtue and none at all. A good example of this would be for the Church to accept any form of socially recognised marriage as valid. Polygamy, polyandry, child marriage [as in medieval times], same sex, with no specific concern for the welfare of children, and indeed the 'right' to adopt children who will have no understanding of what is happening to them.

@RW Standing,
I once had my hair rinsed, as a baby, in a CofE Church, but don't remember much about it.
In my opinion, for what it's worth, you need to find something to do with your time, in order to stop you thinking so effing deeply about stuff of which most of the human race does not give a fig.

CofE Churches usually have nice stained glass windows though, and some very interesting and old graveyards.
