@Ragman,
Well, if he's that old, perhaps we should show him more respect.

@neologist,
As near as I can figure you're the only one who brought up age. Lordy was just writing about when he last used sugar.

@dalehileman,
By the sheerest coincidence in a recent flyer we note "Folgers Flavors Caramel, Vanilla, or Hazelnut Coffee Enhancer"; and wondering whether it might be something close to my notion

Dn't know why they cap everything, it's a mistake. Only brand names and the like should be in caps

@dalehileman,
Flavored coffees have been in the supermarkets for a couple decades now, Dale.

Put it on the shopping list for your wife to get some to try. If you go out shopping with her, you'll see several shelves full of different brands and flavors of it. You will have fun doing your own in-home taste tests.

Yes But, but do they also contain dry creamer and sweetener

I'd suppose it's perfectly reasonable to expect the customer to add at least the latter ingredient

@dalehileman,
I gotta tell ya Dale, your idea sounds like the velveeta cheese spread of the java set.

@chai2,
I think at his stage of life, he is more interested in the warmth and simple convenience than the taste.

@dalehileman,
Yes they do, Dale. To see the ingredients for yourself, go to Amazon.com and search for "flavored instant coffees" and you'll see a selection of them. Click on one and look at the image with the ingredients list.
