First, I had to go shopping for some clothes in the busiest part of town with those crazy tourists everywhere getting in my way and stopping in the middle of the street to ask for directions.
Then, we have an earthquake while I'm on the second story of a sixty year old house made solely out of wood and glass.
And finally, while we were walking away from the doorways, my dog collapses and has a seizure on me.
Meanwhile, I have the rest of the evening to pack for a ten week vacation.
So...How was your day?
Downright boring compared to yours!
Where are you going? A 10-week vacation?! I haven't had one of those in almost 30 years (since I was in highschool.)
I'm going to the Simi valley in California. You might not call it a vacation, but I'm going to be working at a day camp for 6-9 year olds.
Other than that, I'll be hanging out with my family because they all live in LA.
You're right, I wouldn't call that a vacation. Sounds like hard work to me. But seeing family is nice!
Yikes, Individual, that's worse than my day, for sure. I was just complaining too.
I woke up late.
The diabetic cat went under the bed BEFORE eating. He needs to eat so I can give him his insulin. My bed is the only thing in my apartment he can get under that I can't actually move.
I couldn't find my keys or my cell phone when it came time to leave work (late). I finally found my keys in the pocket I usually put my cell phone in.
So, where is the cell? It was at home having never gone to work with me at all.
And I was so busy looking for my keys, that I left work without my SHOES! Yes! I didn't even realize it until I was home. Oy.
Haha...How can you possibly leave without your shoes? You crack me up!
I don't know, Individual. I am a nanny, so I work in the kids home, and I rarely wear shoes (flip-flops these days) inside in the warmer months. And, I often don't wear flip-flops while driving... but, I still can't figure out how I did it. Must be the heat (it's finally summer!).
Aye
The doggie is all tired from her day and she's trying to climb into my lap. Trouble is that she's a full grown lab. Poor pooch...poor me.
Have you checked with a vet?
Yeah, this isn't the first time that it's happened. Apparently, it's completely fine as long as the seizure doesn't last for more than ten minutes.
When she knows it's coming she'll come running to me (provided her legs haven't seized up yet) with her tail between her legs and try to climb into my lap. All I can do for her is to hold and comfort her until she stops.
It scared the hell out of me that first time though, I didn't know what to do and I was afraid that she would try to bite me or something.
aaaawww, so sad. She sounds like a sweetheart who knows you're her best friend.
She's one of the few bitches in my life that I actually enjoy sleeping with.
<grin>
My dog (to the left) is old and becoming crippled by (they think) a degenerative nerve disease. She's the ONLY bitch in my life who I would even considered sleeping with.
